Pre-Terminated MPO Backbone, Cut to Your Run

Singlemode trunks use APC polished US Conec MTP connectors on Corning SMF-28 Ultra singlemode fiber (G.652.D and G.657.A1 compliant, bend-insensitive). OM4 and OM5 multimode trunks use 50/125 µm laser-optimized fiber with UPC (flat) US Conec MTP connectors for 40G to 400G parallel-optic links, on OM4 or OM5 ribbon cable (aqua or lime green jacket). Multimode reach: 40G-SR4 150 m; 100G-SR4 and 400G-SR8 100 m; 400G-SR4.2 100 m on OM4, 150 m on OM5. OM3 on request. The standard cable is a yellow indoor plenum (OFNP) ribbon cable.

Polarity

Type a, B or C

Every link has to carry each transmitter to a receiver at the far end. The polarity type sets which fiber position at End A lands on which position at End B. All three types are available on our MPO jumpers and trunks.

Two Quick Checks

Count the flips. Between two MPO transceivers, the number of Type B jumpers and trunks in the link must be odd (1 or 3).
Pinned meets unpinned. Every mated MPO pair is one pinned and one unpinned connector. Transceivers and our cassette rear ports are pinned, so the cords that plug into them are unpinned.
Method B / Universal for new builds: Type B trunk with MPC-24-LC-U cassettes at both ends.

Installation Notes

Pull by the pulling eye only, never by the legs or connectors
Keep dust caps on until the trunk is in place
Pull 100 lbf max on the grip; hold the bend radius in the cable table
Order length end face to end face; allow for slack, rises and drops
Confirm pinning and polarity against the cassettes at each end
