From Headend to Node

Distributed access, node splits and PON overlays push fiber deeper and add terminations at the headend, the hub and the edge. One Optics builds the passive pieces in between, with APC polish where reflections matter.

From headend to node

Our rack and wall mount enclosures can be ordered loaded for APC: SA (SC/APC) or LA (LC/APC) plates with matching pigtails, spliced on trays (or in OOFC cassettes in the HD1U, the HD3U family and HD Slim). The same HD adaptor plates fit rack and wall mount enclosures, so headend, hub and hut spares are interchangeable.

Rack Patch and Splice

HD3U stacks carry SC/APC ribbon builds (HD6U-R-SA-288, HD9U-R-SA-432); the HD3US keeps splicing away from live jumpers and the HD1U covers small hubs.

Separate lockable doors keep the splice side closed while technicians patch.

Terminated Before It Ships

Preterminated outside plant cable and APC pigtails and jumpers cut field splicing at the node.

Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliant, self-certified; compliance letter available on request (excludes fiber jumpers, MPO jumpers, pigtails and Cat 6 copper).

Typical Builds

  • Headend entrance: FEC-6912 (48 x 144F exit configuration, plates set for bottom entry), a bottom-entry 6,912F feed out to 48 x 144F PTP- plenum preterms. Outside runs to the nodes use PTO- OSP preterms.
  • Headend / hub patch field: HD9U-R-SA-432, 432 SC/APC ports in 9U, with DX-SASA jumpers.
  • Hut to node: WMHD6X-L-SA-72 on the wall and a PTO- preterminated cable to each new node.
